Custom-made Roman blind: elegance and practicality for your windows

Roman blinds are a refined solution for dressing your windows, combining aesthetics and practicality. Made from a soft fabric structured by horizontal uppers sewn at regular intervals. The Roman awning creates nice folds when it is reassembled with the cord, chain or motor that operates the mechanism. This design ensures a sleek, structured appearance while making it easy to use on a daily basis.

Highly versatile, this indoor blind fits perfectly on small and medium-sized windows, as well as patio doors, offering a practical and aesthetic alternative to conventional curtains.

Linen, sheer curtain or blackout fabric: which model?

The choice of fabric is essential to adapt your Roman blind to your needs in terms of aesthetics and brightness. Here are the main options available:

      • Linen: A noble and natural material, linen brings a touch of elegance to your interior. It filters light while creating a warm and refined atmosphere as well as thermal insulation. Ideal for living rooms such as the living room or dining room.
      • The sheer curtain: Light and airy, the sail boat awning allows you to filter the light while creating a certain intimacy. This dimming fabric is particularly suitable for outward-facing windows, where you want to let in as much light as possible without being exposed to view, such as in the bathroom or living room.
      • Blackout fabric: If you're looking for total darkness in your room, especially in your bedroom, blackout fabric is the perfect solution. It blocks outside light, ensuring optimal comfort for sleeping or watching a movie.

What size boat curtain should you choose for your window?

To ensure a harmonious and functional look, it is essential to measure your windows before opting for a custom-made Roman blind.

Width measurement*: Take the width of the glass and add a few inches on each side for better coverage.

      • Height measurement: Depending on your preference, you can attach the blind above the frame or inside the window.
      • Fall from the blind: Make sure that the blind, when unfolded, completely covers the window so that it meets its functions.

Please note that for some models of roller blinds, the dimensions shown correspond to the size of the external support. The width of the fabric can be reduced by 4 cm or less. (For example, a 45 cm wide roller blind might have a 41 cm wide fabric.)
