What could be better than a relaxing spot in the sun? Unfortunately, nature knows no bounds when it comes to ruining a lovely day outdoors. But what if you had a wide range of strategic countermeasures at your disposal? Is the sun beating down mercilessly or has it started to drizzle? No problem – the roof provides excellent protection from the scorching midday sun. A fresh breeze picking up? No problem, thanks to the flexible side panels. Moisture or evening light attracting mosquitoes? No problem either – simply keep those pesky bloodsuckers out with the integrated mosquito net.
Volcanic eruptions, tornadoes or earthquakes? No problem, as such phenomena occur only extremely rarely in our latitudes. Nevertheless, as a precaution, we must point out that a tensioned roof in particular is not suitable for storms, heavy rain, hail, snow, tornadoes and indeed volcanic eruptions, and we cannot accept any liability for this.
Please bear in mind that the supplied roof is rain-resistant to a certain extent, which means water can accumulate there. This can lead to damage if there is a large amount of water. If you wish to bypass the rain resistance, you can create a drain using a hole punch (not supplied) and eyelets. We generally recommend removing the roof before heavy rain showers. We must also point out that the cover must be removed in snowy conditions, as the roof struts are not designed to bear this load. The pergola is assembled using screws. These are made of steel and, as they are screws, cannot be powder-coated. Consequently, they will rust over time under normal weather conditions. However, this rust usually only becomes visible when the roof is dismantled. If this is a concern, you can easily remove the rust using standard rust removers available from retailers.
