- Wingspan approx. 5.2 m, octagonal - Very wind-resistant and robust thanks to reinforced aluminium struts - Canvas surface is weatherproof and rain-resistant - Space-saving storage thanks to telescopic struts - Frame material: Powder-coated aluminium - Canopy material: Fabric/textile (100% polyester, 230g/m²) - Sturdy pole: Ø 6.7 cm - Opening mechanism: Crank, easy-to-use hand crank - Wind class 2 - Umbrella stand with 100 kg required - The parasol must be secured to a solid surface - Weight approx. 28 kg
This umbrella is available with or without a matching stand; please select the desired version above.
Note on measuring the span: this is measured from the outermost end of the strut along to the centre at the top and back again on the other side. This means the strut extends up to 2.6m.

Sun, Sol, Helios – as varied as the names are, so too are the dangers posed by our favourite star. Protect yourself from too much direct sunlight with a first-class UV protection shield – colloquially known simply as a parasol.
The high-quality polyester canopy not only provides reliable protection against UV radiation but is also briefly rain-resistant, so even a light shower is no problem. Reinforced metal struts ensure wind-resistant stability and additional strength, whilst the integrated air circulation hood helps you keep a cool head.
Made from powder-coated aluminium, the frame further emphasises the high quality of the materials used and offers all-round protection at its finest. The telescopic struts also make this market umbrella a real space-saving wonder.
The Meran II model is a variation of the Meran Pro. The pole and frame on this model are white, and the fabric of the canopy is slightly lighter.
Please note the following when setting up: The umbrella must be easy to unfold. DO NOT use force. As with all umbrellas, there is a risk that the struts may have become jammed. In this case, please reach under the umbrella before opening it and reposition the struts correctly. The umbrella can then be unfolded easily. The parasol must be secured on a firm surface (e.g. concrete) with an area of at least 100x100x40 cm.
The parasol base we have selected is suitable for wind force 2 (light breeze). You should set up the parasol in a sheltered spot and retract it in the event of stronger gusts. It is advisable to fill the base with water and sand to make it heavier. For more demanding requirements, we also offer other parasol bases with a higher weight. As a rule of thumb for better stability: Umbrella up to 2 m: approx. 20 kg Umbrella up to 3 m: approx. 40–50 kg Umbrella up to 4 m: approx. 80–100 kg Umbrella up to 5 m: approx. 125–150 kg. Calculations such as 1 kg per 10 cm diameter are certainly not correct, as they do not take into account that the umbrella’s surface area increases exponentially. Furthermore, the base area of the umbrella stand and the height of the umbrella are also important.
