Sun, Sun, Sol, Helios – as varied as the names are, so too are the dangers posed by our favourite star. Protect yourself from too much direct sunlight with a first-class UV protection shield – colloquially known simply as a parasol.
Our parasol provides a shady spot – even where space is limited!
The high-quality polyester cover not only provides reliable protection against UV radiation but is also briefly rain-resistant, so even a light shower is no problem. Reinforced metal struts ensure wind-resistant stability and additional strength, whilst the integrated air circulation hood helps you keep a cool head.
Made from powder-coated, rust-proof aluminium, the frame further emphasises the high quality of the materials used and offers all-round protection at its finest. Its telescopic ribs also make this half-umbrella a real space-saving wonder that harmonises perfectly with our umbrella stands, available separately or as a set.
The parasol stand we have selected is suitable for wind force 2 (light breeze). You should set up the parasol in a sheltered spot and retract it in the event of stronger gusts. For more demanding requirements, we also offer other parasol stands with a higher weight capacity. As a rule of thumb for better stability: Umbrella up to 2 m: approx. 20 kg Umbrella up to 3 m: approx. 40–50 kg Umbrella up to 4 m: approx. 80–100 kg Umbrella up to 5 m: approx. 125–150 kg. Calculations such as 1 kg per 10 cm of diameter are certainly not correct, as they do not take into account that the umbrella’s surface area increases exponentially. Furthermore, the base area of the umbrella stand and the height of the umbrella are also important.
