Bentwood is a specially processed type of wood that was developed in the mid-19th century. Polyurethane is a particularly high-quality and durable synthetic leather that feels exceptionally soft against the skin. It does not tend to stick in summer and is therefore used specifically for the upholstery of ‘curved’ furniture, as genuine leather would cause unwanted rippling in such cases.
