For more demanding requirements, we also offer other parasol bases with even greater weight. As a rule of thumb for better stability:
Umbrellas up to 2 m: approx. 20 kg
Umbrella up to 3 m: approx. 40–50 kg
Umbrella up to 4 m: approx. 80–100 kg
Umbrella up to 5 m: approx. 125–150 kg.
Calculations such as 1 kg per 10 cm diameter are certainly not correct, as they do not take into account that the umbrella’s surface area increases exponentially. Furthermore, the base area of the umbrella stand and the height of the umbrella are also important.
