      How can I find out the delivery time for a product?

      The delivery time shown on the product page does not apply to all products on that page.

      • If the page only features one product, the delivery time applies to that product.
      • If the page features several products, each may have a different delivery time.

      To be certain of the delivery time for a product, simply add the item to your basket: the delivery time for each product is confirmed in your basket.

      What are the delivery charges?

      Delivery charges include the transport of products from our warehouse to the delivery address. They are calculated based on the delivery address and the weight of the products ordered.

      Costs can therefore vary and go up to, for example, £249.99 for a large corner sofa.

      The exact delivery charges will be shown in your basket and confirmed when you place your order.

      Are shipping costs reduced for multiple items?

      We set our delivery charges based on our carriers' rates.

      From our carriers' perspective:

      • Shipping costs are charged based on the weight and dimensions of the product parcels. The heavier and bulkier a product, the higher the shipping costs.
      • For orders with multiple products, costs are reduced if they are scheduled for the same delivery.
      • Unfortunately, some very bulky products or those transported by DPD Predict are not eligible for grouping. Whenever grouping is possible, we offer it to you at step 3 of your basket.

      Is it possible to get a discount on delivery charges?

      If our delivery charges may seem high, it's because unlike other e-retailers who advertise free delivery or minimal costs (actually included in the product price), we choose to offer you real prices for our products and real delivery charges.

      We are therefore unfortunately unable to offer you a discount on delivery charges.

      I find the delivery charges expensive

      Carriers of heavy and bulky items charge shipping costs based on the weight and dimensions of the products delivered. For example, a 150 kg sofa or an 80 kg sideboard requires two delivery people and significant space in the lorry... Products up to 35 kg (coffee table, console...) are delivered by one person.

      At some e-retailers, the difference between the actual cost of delivery and the amount charged to customers is included in the product price.

      At vente-unique.ie, we believe that the most important thing is to be transparent about selling prices. That's why we choose to offer you real prices for our products and charge delivery at their actual cost. We think this is fairer for our customers.

      In addition, to offer you the highest quality delivery service possible, vente-unique.ie provides a Premium delivery service.

      Please note that we do not make any profit from the delivery charges we charge you.

      Will all the products in my order be sent at the same time?

      It's your choice! If you have ordered several products with different delivery times, you can choose at step 3 of your basket either "as soon as possible" delivery to receive each product as soon as it's available, or "grouped" delivery to receive all products in your order at the same time.

      Unfortunately, some very bulky products or those transported by DPD Predict are not eligible for grouping. Whenever grouping is possible, we offer it to you at step 3 of your basket.

      Which carrier will deliver my order?

      vente-unique.ie works with several specialist carriers:

      • VIR, specialising in furniture delivery with 1 or 2 people and for collection point pickup
      • Bailly Courouble, specialising in delivery with onboard trolley (for spas, saunas...)
      • DPD: delivery by DPD Predict for small products
      • Geodis Calberson, for doorstep delivery and collection point pickup

      You will be contacted before any delivery to arrange your appointment.

      The carrier will contact you by phone or email to schedule an appointment.

      What happens if I have misjudged the dimensions of the access points?

      If, on the day of delivery, the product cannot fit through your doors, up your stairs or into your lift due to incorrect measurements on your part or access difficulties that were not reported in advance, several scenarios may arise:

      • Additional costs: If delivery is impossible, any additional costs associated with returning the goods, storage or a new delivery will be borne exclusively by you.
      • Alternative solutions: Delivery via a cherry picker (through the window) may be considered. This service will be subject to a quote and will incur an additional charge which will be invoiced to you.
      • Unpacking at your own risk: If you expressly ask the delivery staff to unpack the product because the parcel "won't fit" in its box, Vente-unique.ie accepts no liability. Any damage caused to the product or to your home whilst handling the item without its protective packaging will be entirely at your expense.

      What should I do if the product was damaged during delivery?

      At the time of delivery, you must check that the order is correct. If you have any complaints regarding damage to products, you must note these observations on the delivery note and then report them:

      • either on our website in the "My Account" section (www.vente-unique.ie/secure/account)
      • or by phone at the personalised number available in your customer area (go to an order's details and click on "+ My Customer Service" under the relevant product)
      • or by recorded delivery letter to:

      No complaint will be accepted if you have not noted it on the delivery note.

      How long are parcels kept at DPD collection points?

      Customers have up to 7 days to collect their product (Please note: this includes the day the parcel arrives at the DPD depot)

      Is there a deadline for changing delivery instructions?

      • For a change of address, service or date: changes are possible up to 48 hours before the delivery appointment
      • DPD delivery: no address changes will be possible once the parcel leaves our warehouse

      What happens if I am not home when the product is delivered?

      The delivery conditions in case of customer absence during product delivery depend on the carrier:

      • Your parcel will be delivered to a collection point.
      • You will be contacted to arrange a new delivery appointment.

      Please note, if you are absent from this delivery appointment, any costs incurred by a new delivery may be charged to you.

      How does the delivery work in detail? What if I missed the carrier?

      Delivery is carried out by our partner carriers. In most cases, the date and time slot are arranged when you place your order in the basket. If not, an SMS is sent to arrange an appointment. The day before delivery, you are informed by SMS of the delivery time slot, narrowed down to a maximum of 2 hours. Please note: the delivery driver may call you before arriving. Their call may show as "unknown number" or "suspected spam" – please make sure to answer! If you missed the delivery, we will contact you again to arrange a new appointment. You can also contact the carrier via the tracking link or via our customer service.

      How are delivery charges calculated?

      Delivery charges depend on the weight, volume and destination of your order. Since our furniture is large, delivery is handled by a specialist carrier with an appointment system. Charges are displayed in your basket before you confirm your order. They include: transport from our warehouse, telephone appointment booking, and delivery to your doorstep or the ground floor of your building. Promotional offers (free delivery) are regularly available on the site.

      Where can I find the assembly instructions for my furniture?

      If the assembly instructions were not in the parcel: log in to your Customer Account, go to your order and look for the "Assembly instructions" link (if available online). If the instructions are not available online, contact our customer service team who will send them to you by email in PDF format. Tip: check the contents of your parcel upon receipt. The instructions may be in one of the boxes if your order includes multiple parcels.
